Waiting to go on

Natalia Vik waiting to go on, at the sneak peak showing Saturday:)

Sometimes we place ourselves in new positions, we try new things and we try to reach people we didn't reach before.
We expand our views by meeting new people, people who are different, come from different backgrounds, have different ideas, or religions or both. We open our selves up and by opening our selves up we connect. Or find that we don't but then learn something about our selves. Hopefully. Hopefully we learn something about ourselves. Hopefully we too learn something about other subjects than what we would normally engage in.

At other occations we meet on common ground, we share maybe one or two interests. That be music, politics or art, and then magic happens.

If it were magic or not, is up to the guests to decide, but the dancers (of the night), Natalia and Joy, plus myself were grateful for the possibility FRONTLØBERNE in Aarhus gave us at their all day arrangement Kulør. Check out Frontløbernes webpages if you're not familiar with their work: http://www.frontloberne.dk/pages/79
Being the first time I met up with them I assure you it is definitely not the last and we hope we will get the opportunity to dance at their events many years to come!!! They seem to know how to connect the artscenes bringing everything together, which is exactly what Filomusi Productions hopes to accomplish! Thank you Frontløbere - You rock!

The Sleeping Man is shaping up... the details are being polished and norwegian words is slowly getting a part of my oral repertoire. The smiles are big and still getting bigger as we all feel a great connection, to eachother as well as to the material.
This week will bring a lot of good with it. Simon managed to get a bus from Amsterdam where he's been the last week working with a company, and oh what sighs of relief came from that news. The airfare is as the world knows suffering quite a lot these days, and so we were afraid that our darling Simon wouldn't be back on time!!! The costumes should be finished this week as well... Anja will bring them down tuesday, to finish the details. The music is a thrill and brings, as I hoped, an extra dimension to the choreography and the story!!!

Enjoy the sun, the spring and remember that the glass is always half full;)

lots of smiles

Julie Brøgger :)

How to connect the art scenes...

We, who are a part of Filomusi Productions, wish to expand the art scene of Aarhus and connect despite of genres? And as we might have some ideas it is commonly known that 2 brains think better than one, so we are always keen to hear about ideas that can help us connect. If you're out there and have an idea as to how music, theater, videography, dance, art and poetry can become one, write us and we will take it in to consideration on our next board meeting.

Thank You
