Joy and I started out at 10 am with a "introduction to modern dance at SATS". And it went well- I think! And then the rest of the day was a constant of ups and downs....
However, things have been put on the sketch board... Actually three years of performances and festivals have been put on the sketchboard and well naturally then on the calendar...
One being the duet 'Nabo' which will take place during "Århus Festuge"
A duet to the music of Kashmir, taking place at your neighbour.
From August 27th to September 5th it is Århus Festuge, which is one of northern europes biggest festivals for art and culture. Each day, for 9 days, dancer Joy Anna Hall and I will be performing a 10 minute piece at 2 different homes.
The idea is that the houses we perform at shall then invite their friends or neighbors.
There is still places open, so if you would like a house performance write us a mail at:
juliebroegger@gmail.com mark it "nabo 2010" then we can arrange a meeting where we take a look at your house to see if there is room for a performance:)
To qualify you need to
1: have a couch
2: be willing to invite you neigbors
3: think it is ok, that we film at your home and maybe put it on our blog (we wont film the whole piece, but some of it)
4: Supply water for the dancers
5: as it is free to book the performance, we ask to be alloved to put a hat for tips.
Moreover we will be performing a quartet in the late fall of 2010, to the music of Bob Dylan... more of this will be posted later this month....
However ideas for the title to this piece is:
1. A life of lost
2. Somewhere in the middle of this you see...
3. Did you know of
4. It was created for you
5. And she lay with
6. Maybe tomorrow you will stand atall
7. Of words and poison
8. The long lost words of me and you
9.Subject/Object
10. No more thoughts
The performance will tell of the stories a life consist of... and will be a work created of the thoughts and ideas the dancers have... stories and stages which were important in their lives as well as mine...
it will moreover consist of a video filmed by Jakob Lundbye... very exiting...
This was all for now!!!
I hope you are all well and happy, filled with love and life!!!
