Wonderful Copenhagen? Yes indeed!

About time to spread some news about culture and dancelife in the capital. I love this city, it's wondeful just as the slogan suggests, but still sometimes when I get blown off my bike in rain and heavy wind (in the middle of June!) on my way home from a terrible day hungry and tired- I wonder if it's wonderful?! But that's not really Copenhagen's fault, just life itself I guess ;)

Århus is haunting me in this city, I think it wants me to come back to work very soon with Julie and the rest! At 'morgentræning' in Studio7 I meet Katri for ballet, another Archauzanian woman also walked around at Dansens Hus a while ago, and familiar faces from Århus dancelife pop by every now and then to do meetings or classes, not to mention my fellow dancer Joy that practically lives in both citys at the time:) And when I meet this people again it is a reminder of the great spirit and atmosphere of Århus dancelife. I don't know what makes it, maybe the smaller and more companct citylife, but it was very much inspiring to walk around and dance in- and I hope and give my supports for the survival of Archauz!

But yes, Copenhagen is wonderful too! This spring I have spent in Akademihagen at Carlsberg with blue skyes, picnic and Danish Dance Theatre performing wonderfully on stage in the middle of the garden (Spring Dance),I have been lying next too Bjørn Nørgaards famous figure 'The sleeping man' at Statens Museum for Kunst and indulged in an ocean of his fantastic art, and the same visit at the museum by chance there was a musician (from Århus School of Music) and a dancer that was very flexible performing in the Aula, amazing surprise!! Other then that I have experienced Animals (getting) Lost at Store Carl, Dansescenen, superbly choreographed by the israeli duo Yossi Berg and Oded Graf, dancing amazing balletclasses with Sorella Englund, getting dissapointed at auditions, looking for money at numerous foundings, doing extreme Nalini HotYoga in 37 celcius (recommanded!), finding out I am not to good at teaching children and experinecing the ballet pianist getting a virus and going home!

And everyday I hope and long to get back to work at Filomusi Productions, soon....!

Enjoy your Sunday, I will spend it on my bike in the wind and rain in wonderful Copenhagen!

How to connect the art scenes...

We, who are a part of Filomusi Productions, wish to expand the art scene of Aarhus and connect despite of genres? And as we might have some ideas it is commonly known that 2 brains think better than one, so we are always keen to hear about ideas that can help us connect. If you're out there and have an idea as to how music, theater, videography, dance, art and poetry can become one, write us and we will take it in to consideration on our next board meeting.

Thank You
