A great rehearsal in the sun

Happy and full of new inspiration I now sit down, to start writing this blog.
I just got back from a short, but productive and fun rehearsal with "the good neighbours"-Julie and Joy. It's amazing how the piece has developed within the two rehearsals we have had. So far we have been working outside Julies apartment, in a park, and at the play ground. I hope we will be able to keep on working outside in the sun, so "SUN! - keep on shining".
Today we worked in Skansaparken, and while we tried out new steps on a bench, parents and kids enjoyed the summer, played in the sand and looked at the strange tree girls, who were dancing in the sun. Later we moved to the park, where some people who played guitar, created a lovely atmosphere for dance. We kept on creating and rehearsing the "old" material.
Julie is always full of ideas, and it seems that creativity follows her wherever she goes. Within the 1,5 hour of rehearsal today, she made a duet at a table/bench and put more movements on the choreography which we started working on, on Monday. It's a pleasure to work with Julie and Joy - The mixture of fun and work is perfect, and I'm sure the piece will be full of personality, humour and great movements. Soooo, go on and book it ;) We are meeting up again tomorrow, and I'm looking forward to see where the piece will take us.

How to connect the art scenes...

We, who are a part of Filomusi Productions, wish to expand the art scene of Aarhus and connect despite of genres? And as we might have some ideas it is commonly known that 2 brains think better than one, so we are always keen to hear about ideas that can help us connect. If you're out there and have an idea as to how music, theater, videography, dance, art and poetry can become one, write us and we will take it in to consideration on our next board meeting.

Thank You
