The Aarhus Festival is here - the city is vibrant and the people are happy.
Filomusi Productions has already held ten 'Nabo'-performances in private homes and there are many more to come. It is all kinds of homes, from small appartments and student houses to big parcels. The concept is to invite the neighbours over for the performance, but both young and more mature people who are hosting the events has used the opportunity to get to know their neighbours better by letting them stay for dinner, making coffee and tea or even brunch for the guests.
The premiere showed us a glimpes of what this performance can do to people. The premiere was held in the windows of the shop 'Sophies Tøjhus'. In front were a lot of different kinds of people standing in the small square. To most of them the performance was a surprise as they were not there because they knew that Filomusi Productions had a performance at that time. Even though they were surprised we had very good response from everyone, even those you could never think would appreciate contemporary dance.
Every night is different, so I am very excited to hear what the dancers will experience tonight.
Smiles, Ane

How to connect the art scenes...
We, who are a part of Filomusi Productions, wish to expand the art scene of Aarhus and connect despite of genres? And as we might have some ideas it is commonly known that 2 brains think better than one, so we are always keen to hear about ideas that can help us connect. If you're out there and have an idea as to how music, theater, videography, dance, art and poetry can become one, write us and we will take it in to consideration on our next board meeting.
Thank You
