Not so long ago, I opened facebook to see a picture of Natalia, with hospital gown, in a hospital bed. And so I thought - it's been a while since I payed a tribute to a dancer. And with her not being able to dance these days - I thought it should be Natalia.
I had the pleasure of studying dance with her at Copenhagen Contemporary Dance School, some years ago - and she is truly amazing. Great humour, strong technique, and strong stage presence. These are also some of the reasons for me to choose her, when I set up the first performance of filomusi Productions a little more than one and a half year ago, the performance "The Sleeping Man" Which was inspired by the religious art of danish artist Bjørn Nørgaard.
A little pictures to remember our time with that performance, not so long ago.
I believe first picture was taken for Simon, because we missed him, during his rehearsals for another performance in Amsterdam.
Second was during a 'trailer' of our performance for a party for 'Frontløberne'. we changed our costumes accordingly.
Third one. The photographer Anders Stensgaard took the picture for our postcard to 'the Sleeping Man'. plus the pictures for the 'about us' page in here.
Four. On our way back home from our performance at 'Dansehallerne' during Dansens Dage 2010.
Fifth. Still on our way back home from Copenhagen. This one is from the boat. To much sugar and a bit tired after the performance- makes a great combination.
Natalia is these days living in Israel and taking her education as a teacher of the Gaga-technique. And I recommend her both as a teacher but also as a dancer to all of the choreographers, schools out there.
Hope You'll all have a great weekend.
Love, Julie
